This is a thread to discuss the various Monster Hunter Games for those interested.
It can also be used to start a correspondence between players to hunt together.
I myself and a big fan of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
In Unite I am not impressive at all, but was also quite casual when I played it consistently.
In 3U though I am G-Rank. I just lost interest in it a bit since I could never find anyone to play the game with me.
My own preferred weapon is the Dual Blades, and my peferred strategy is calculated evasion. I have yet to achieve what I refer to as "Ghost Mode" which entails the ability to go through any hunt without ever taking a lick of damage. But I shall continue to practice my hitbox evasion! And hopefully people will enjoy talking about monster hunter on this forum. I look forward to hunting with any of you in the future.

HEY! This thread exists!
Anyway, I love this game. I bought MH3 thinking it was a cool looking game (not really knowing the fan-base behind it) and instantly got hooked. I'm a proficient hunter now in MH3U and am anxiously awaiting Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
I am an aggressive frontline defender, my main expertise is Gunlance and secondary in Great Sword. I like to charge in and try and get as much damage in as possible while enduring attacks from large monsters. My philosophy is to get as much damage in as possible, even if it means taking a few big hits. I love the giant monsters and learning their habits, and I love all the possible armor and weapons. When it comes to putting together armor sets I love to go to extremes, like extreme attack, outrageous defense, or 100% affinity.
Now that my introduction is done, when are we going to make a hunting guild??!?? As a gaming club with multiple hunters in it, I believe a guild is necessary to address the desires of its hunters and maintain the spirit of hunting.
