As many people may have heard, there are rumors of fictitious creature types going around. I keep hearing more and more about these creature types known as "angels" "sliver," and "faerie." As you may remember the creature type 'sliver' used to be a thing, but then was hated on so much that it basically disappeared off the face of the planet until M14 came out. After M14 there were these weird creatures that went by the name of "sliver" but looked nothing like a 'sliver' of old. With increased reports of the sighting of these weird mythological creature types I decided to make a thread about how to kill them off rather than just ignoring their existence. To put it very simply, this is a genocide thread. Let's pretend that these creatures exist, let's pretend that you're playing a match against these figments of your opponent's imagination; the best way to deal with these is a simple exile spell if it's a threatening idea, or just ignore it entirely if it isn't. Because of the fact they don't exist you won't have to worry about them actually doing anything to you. The best answer to eliminating all of these things is a simple color: Blue. Blue is great at making illusions and dealing with them quickly and easily; making it the best color for these kinds of situations. Unfortunately Wizards seems to make Blue just be the best at everything, and some stubborn people won't give into the "blue master race." Slivers must be met with extreme prejudice. Board wipes are essential. Kill them all before they can build up. The sliver is strongest in swarms of different types as they each pump each other up, and all abilities stack. Angels are stupid hard ideas to kill. I've been fighting against them for years, but people keep believing in them. They're extremely resilient, especially when they have things like Avacyn and Sigarda. Things like Angel of Jubilation and Linvala just make your life hell until you remove them. The best nonblue answer I can think of is Merciless Eviction. But Stromgald Cabal should deal with EVERY angel as it tries to come out as long as it can come out before Linvala or Angel of Jubilation. Another personal favorite of mine is Martyr's Cry. The problem with 2 of those is that you're forced to run color specific cards which can hurt a deck in most playgroups. My solution: JUST USE BLUE; it solves every problem in magic. Your main goal though is to remove the scary things and exile things like Avacyn and whatnot that prevent you from killing things normally. You can also lock these down by lowering the damage of flyers or tapping the opponent's creatures and having things like meekstone out, then kill the player with extreme prejudice. Faeries are tough to deal with because they are control based and are supported by the best color. Kill with more blue, or just kill the opponent faster with goblins and such.

Also removing limiters means you become stronger. Why do you need training grounds to deal with things? Also Kaalia is a top tier Duel Commander deck. The card is pure value; you attack and have value. I find the easiest way to deal with Kaalia though is just kill her the second she comes out or make sure the Kaalia player never has a hand. If they don't have a hand it's not like they can benefit off the trigger.

my current fix for kaalia is to hit her fast and hard, if I can kill her once and clear the sky, prossh can swing in at earliest on turn 5 and win the game

I thought about using mimeoplasm, I wanted something to do with counters since that's slowly turning into my affinity. then again, I got croxis, and nicol bolas, two cards I want to put to work rather than be a showcase in my binder. this really is going to depend on what I pull out of m15 and khan of takir, if khan support wedge colors, then I might go for mimeoplasm

This is ridiculous. People hating on my deck so much...maybe I should feel proud that my deck is that scary.
